Microsoft Will Show Full-Screen Update Warnings to Windows 7 Users

Windows has always been notoriously infamous for nagging and bugging users to update their systems. They received tons of criticism for their aggressive campaign to get Windows 8 users to move on to the next version, but they appear to be completely unfazed and are now repeating history on Windows 7 users instead.
Windows 7 loyalists have been getting update warnings ever since January, but it is only about to get worse come next year.
Starting next month, Windows 7 users will start getting update prompts that will fill up the entire screen. These prompts will warn that “your Windows 7 PC is out of support” and is more vulnerable to viruses and malware due to lack of security updates and software features. This prompt will stay on the screen until a user has interacted with it.
The warning will include three different dismissing options including – “remind me later”, “learn more”, or “don’t remind me again”. However, knowing Windows, it will probably start bugging people again after a while even when the “don’t remind me” option is selected.
Support for Windows 7 is officially ending on January 14th, 2020. Microsoft is promoting Windows 10 as the right path for upgrades, and funnily enough, upgrading to Windows 10 will not set you free from the update warning curse either.
